Rock Steady Boxing Southern California Parkinson's Disease Anne Adams

What We Do

Rock Steady Boxing enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight their disease by providing non-contact boxing-stye fitness programs that improve their quality-of-life and sense of efficacy and self-worth.

Recent studies also suggest that intense exercise programs may be “neuro-protective,” actually working to delay the progression of symptoms. Rock Steady Boxing provides encouragement through a “tough love” approach inspiring maximum effort, speed, strength, balance and flexibility.

Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. Rock Steady Boxing classes have proven that anyone at any level of Parkinson’s can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier, happier life.

What We Offer

  • Fitness  Rock Steady Boxing offers classes to accomodate varying degrees of Parkinson’s/fitness.
  • Support  From coaches who understand the effects of Parkinson’s and how to fight back.
  • Camaraderie  Friends for fighters and caregivers.

In addition to the neurological improvement created through the rigorous forced exercise regimen, there is a bond that is created among participants and those charged with providing care. This community of support improves the well-being of persons with Parkinson’s as well as their caregivers and loved ones.

Rock Steady Boxing delivers a message of hope and motivation to those who have been told that each day their movement and cognitive ability will worsen. And the results have been stunning!
